ZIPAIR name corrections — an honest guide
This is the page we wish more travelers read before booking. ZIPAIR does not offer name changes or 'minor corrections' after purchase. What we can do is tell you quickly whether your specific mismatch will actually be a problem at check-in, what the airport can update on the day, and — if a rebook is unavoidable — how to make it cost as little as possible.

If a rebook is required, minimise the damage
- Check the U.S. 24-hour rule first. If the mistake is caught the same day and departure is 7+ days away, the original booking is fully refundable and the fix costs nothing but a few minutes.
- Flex Biz? Cancel for a voucher (97% or 77.6% by timing) and apply it to the corrected booking — but note the voucher must be used for a booking that includes the original passenger.
- Book the new ticket before cancelling the old one when seats are scarce, so you are never left without a seat on a full flight.
- Agency ticket? Some agencies quietly permit a correction on their side; ask before assuming the airline rule ends the conversation.
Prevention: the 30-second check that avoids all of this
Before paying, read every name aloud against the passport photo page: surname, given names, spelling, order. Skip nicknames, skip accents ZIPAIR's form will not accept, and do not add a suffix the passport does not show. For families, check each child separately — a child's surname is the most common error we see.
