ZIPAIR at Houston (IAH)
ZIPAIR began Houston–Tokyo Narita service in March 2025, giving Texas and the wider South a nonstop low-cost option to Japan for the first time. It is ZIPAIR's longest U.S. route, which makes the Standard-vs-Full-Flat decision and the meal pre-order more important here than anywhere else in the network.

Planning a 13-hour flight on an à-la-carte airline
- Meals are not included on Standard fares. Pre-order online; onboard ordering is via the seatback QR code and pays by card only.
- Full-Flat is worth pricing for the overnight sector; see our upgrade page.
- Cabin weight: 7 kg combined is tight for a long flight with entertainment devices and snacks — buy extra cabin weight at least 24 hours ahead.
Check-in at IAH
ZIPAIR operates from Terminal D. Counters open around 3 hours before departure. Terminal D is connected to the other terminals by the Skyway train, but bags from domestic connections are not transferred — collect them and re-check with ZIPAIR. Allow 3 hours or more for a self-connection.
Arriving at IAH
Passengers from Narita clear immigration and customs in Terminal D/E's Federal Inspection area. Report missing bags at the baggage service desk before leaving customs; keep the PIR reference and bag tags.
