ZIPAIR at San Jose (SJC)

San Jose is ZIPAIR's second Bay Area airport and, for many South Bay and Peninsula travelers, the more convenient one. The international facility is compact, so the curb-to-gate time is short — but the flip side is that services are limited and the check-in cut-off is enforced just as strictly as at larger airports.

1-866-884-3459 is our independent assistance number. It is not ZIPAIR Tokyo's official phone number; the airline itself takes inquiries at zipair.net/en/help.

Why travelers pick SJC

  • Shorter security lines and walks than SFO
  • Easy drop-off and parking for travelers driving from the South Bay, Peninsula or East Bay
  • ZIPAIR sale fares sometimes differ between SJC and SFO — we compare both for your dates

Check-in at SJC

ZIPAIR uses Terminal B. Counters open around 3 hours before departure and close before departure time; plan to be at the counter no later than 90 minutes out with bags. Cabin bags are weighed (7 kg combined). If you need a checked bag, buy it online in advance — airport purchases carry a processing fee.

Arriving at SJC from Tokyo

Immigration and customs are in Terminal B. Report delayed or damaged bags at the baggage service desk before exiting customs. Because SJC handles fewer international flights, baggage-desk staffing can be limited — file the report before leaving rather than by phone afterwards.

Terminal and check-in details change. Confirm the terminal on your ZIPAIR itinerary or the airport's flight board on the day. ZIPAIR USA is an independent assistance service and does not operate any airport counter.
